Kyle was chosen as this year’s recipient because of his involvement in his community, his outstanding academic achievement and his dedication to the environment.

Kyle is a member of Elmira District Secondary School where as a leader of the Elmira Outers club he helped build a 6ft bio-wall for his high school.

As an active member of his community, Kyle has been involved with such projects as tree planting for the University of Waterloo and turning the town of Elmira’s courtyard into a green space.

In addition to his community involvement, Kyle volunteers as an outdoor educator and tours local public schools speaking to students about the environment.

Kyle has been accepted into three Canadian Universities where he hopes to complete an honours degree in Biological Sciences and one day pursue a career in wildlife conservation.
